Marley at his peak of his time as songwriter, the humanistic vision and the revolutionary determination, make this album with melodies of a level unmatched and identity resolutely African a genuine masterpiece. In parallel to the development of a very dense and electrical sound, Marley made a return to the tribal percussion of the Rastas, akete, fundeh and repeater, three instruments only used by pure buru-men for the dances of fertility in the heart of Jamaica. One way for Marley to keep his music in the continuity of a tradition while establishing in it contemporary creativity. What he summed up as: "The best of both worlds."
